The Ghostly Icy Blue bichromatic paint scheme was used to emphasize the effect of shading and blending when using translucent paints and to make Godzilla seem like a ghostly apparition. Multiple overlapping spray coats of the pearlescent white and blue make it appear that the Godzilla sculpt is actually translucent when it is really made completely from opaque black vinyl.
