The folks at Marmit have created another fun kaiju, this time paying homage to the delightful "chicken" monster Girara from the 1967 Shochiku film "Big Space Monster Guilala", which was also released in the US as "The X from Outer Space".

As you can see, the Marmit Guilala is made from a green translucent vinyl embedded with specks of green, yellow and black glitter. Whether front or back lit, the sculpt becomes quite iridescent with reflections bouncing off the glitter flakes, truly a cool effect !! And it is painted with translucent gold highlights, silver nails and marvelous magenta eyes. The gold antennae are made of metal and are packaged separately in the bag to protect them in shipment, a very nice touch by Marmit!!! This "extremely dangerous" monster ;-) stands a whopping 10 3/4" tall and it was recently revived in the fun commercial you've probably seen on TV for Ladders.com.
